About the concert

Vienna has long served as the heart of European music. Its status as an imperial capital drew composers eager to thrive in an environment rich with artistic expression—from architecture and painting to, above all, music. To this day, the city remains a magnet for classical music lovers, with melodies echoing through concert halls, opera houses, historic cathedrals, and city parks. Vienna is a city defined by its sound. This program offers a musical journey through Vienna as seen through the works of composers who lived and created there across several centuries.
