The ensemble brings together musicians who have been engaged for many years in research and practice of historically informed performance of European and Ukrainian music. Over the course of three years, LC:EME has held around 100 concerts across Ukraine, covering a wide thematic and chronological range — from the 15th to the 19th century — with a special focus on Ukrainian Baroque. In addition to concert activity, the ensemble actively implements educational initiatives, such as the concert series “Baroque Education” and the project “Early Music Weekend: Residency,” promoting historically informed performance among Ukrainian audiences. In 2023, LC:EME represented Ukraine at two early music festivals under the artistic direction of Maestro Jordi Savall: Musique et Historique (Fontfroide, France) and the Jordi Savall Festival (Santes Creus, Spain). In 2024 and 2025, the ensemble performed together with Andreas Scholl at the Kyiv Baroque Fest. LC:EME has also collaborated with conductors Antonio Greco (Italy) and Jörg Zwicker (Austria). In September 2025, the ensemble represented Ukraine at MONDIACULT 2025 (Barcelona, Spain). Among LC:EME’s artists are graduates of Schola Cantorum Basiliensis and participants of masterclasses and projects led by world-renowned early music specialists, including Andreas Scholl, Dominique Vellard, Emma Kirkby, Andrew Lawrence-King, Claudio Cavina, Christopher Stembridge, Jacques Ogg, Christine Schornsheim, Elżbieta Stefańska-Łukowicz, Bernhard Billeter, Nicholas Parle, Christoph Hammer, Michael Radulescu, Guido Morini, Nicholas McGegan, Jean-Christophe Dijoux, and Alina Zilberajch. LC:EME’s repertoire includes music by composers from Germany, Italy, England, France, the Netherlands, and Spain from the 15th to the 18th centuries, as well as works by Ukrainian composers from the 17th to the 19th centuries.
