About the concert
"Coloured" continues—this time with a program collected in the hues of jazz. Although this is an academic evening in form, it remains free in its performance style: sensual, light, and improvisational.
So, what are the colors of the evening about?
The first color is sapphire: deep, fresh, and slightly cool, like a clear sky or the twilight ocean. It represents the space of the hall, the tone of the clarinet, and the sound that envelops you and allows room for thought.
The second color is warm gold: the gleam of brass, the gloss of the grand piano, and the stage lights. The festive side of the evening, a sound that adds luxury and warmth to the music.
These colors unite in images of the ocean, the sun, and golden sand. These are the colors of a state in which playing feels light, breathing is deep, and improvisation arises effortlessly.
The program features composers who, following Gershwin, found their own way to fuse classical and popular music. The most spontaneous concert of the cycle, where music is created right here and now.
