Participant of the NotaBene Chamber Group Ihor Zavgorodnii is an altoist, violinist, composer, and laureate of international competitions. He graduated from the Lviv Specialized Music School named after S. Krushelnytska, the National Music Academy of Ukraine in the classes of B. Kotorovych, T. Yaropud, and completed an internship in the class of A. Bazhenov. As a member of the Collegium quartet, he studied at the Netherlands String Quartet Academy (Amsterdam) under the guidance of Marc Danel, Stefan Metz, and Peter Cropper. He also studied at the International Summer Academy for Music, Beuggen (Prof. Kamilla Schatz), and the International Summer Academy for Chamber Music Lower Saxony, Frenswegen (Prof. Eberhard Feltz, Robin Ireland, Richard Ireland). From 2009 to 2016, he was an artist with the National Chamber Ensemble "Kyiv Soloists." Since 2015, he has been an artist with the "UHO-ensemble." Since 2018, he has been a violinist with the Danapris String Quartet. Since 2016, he has collaborated with the "New Era Orchestra" as the concertmaster of the second violin group. Since 2018, he has been part of the "Open Opera" project on the baroque viola. From 2020, he has been collaborating with the Opera Aperta laboratory of contemporary opera by Roman Hryhoriv and Illya Razumeyko. He participated in the creation of the project "Chornobyldorf. Archaeological opera" as a multi-instrumentalist (viola, morin khuur, shakuhachi), performer, actor, and vocalist. From 2018 to 2023, he taught violin at the R.M. Glier Kyiv Municipal Academy of Music. Since 2022, he has been a member of NotaBene and a soloist at the National House of Organ and Chamber Music of Ukraine. As a soloist and chamber musician, he has toured in Austria, Bulgaria, China, Lithuania, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Switzerland, and Japan. As a soloist, he has performed with the National Honored Academic Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, Kyiv Chamber Orchestra, Academic Symphony Orchestra of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine, National Chamber Ensemble "Kyiv Soloists," Academic Symphony Orchestra of Lviv Philharmonic, Pleven Philharmonic Orchestra, "New Era Orchestra," NAS "Kyiv Kamernata," AKO "Virtuozy Lvova," Kharkiv Philharmonic Orchestra, and others. He has premiered numerous works by Ukrainian and foreign composers, some of which are recorded by the National Radio of Ukraine and released by labels such as Winter & Winter and KAIROS. Composer's activity: His works have been performed at festivals such as "Holofstrim" (Kyiv), "Two Days and Two Nights of New Music" (Odesa), "ORF musikprotokoll 2021" (Graz, Austria), "Gaudeamus festival 2022" (Utrecht, the Netherlands), International Festival of Contemporary Music "CONTRASTS" (Lviv, Ukraine), and "Klangwerkstatt Berlin" (2022, Berlin, Germany).
