A shift of moods, a clash of characters, a movement from darkness toward illumination — this is the essence of the trilogy’s third chapter. At the heart of the program are the sonatas by César Franck and Francis Poulenc — a musical form in which contrast becomes the driving force of development. This evening, the composers’ works become a metaphor for human life, where emotions follow one another like day and night, like sorrow and hope. They do not negate one another but instead complement each other, giving rise to inner wholeness and balance between drama and light.
