Almost anyone can hum a melody that turns out to be one of its movements. But can we imagine how The Four Seasons sounded in Vivaldi’s own lifetime? Probably not 🙃 In this program, we invite you to try to hear that original sound together with us, as the music will be performed on instruments that are replicas of those used in the 18th century, and in the appropriate historical tuning. Intrigued? Of course! In addition, the well-known masterpieces will be complemented by arias from Vivaldi’s cantatas and motets that correspond in mood to each season and reflect human emotions and experiences at different stages of life’s journey.
