Andriy Chop
Since 2000, a member of the Chamber Ensemble "Kyiv" at the National House of Music. He received his musical education at the Lviv Music College (class of Professor D. Komonko) and the National Music Academy of Ukraine (class of Professor S. Kulakova). Participated in concerts and internships under the guidance of renowned musicians such as Stefan Metz (Orlando Quartet), Eberhard Feltz (Germany), Hatto Beyerle (Germany), Miguel da Silva (Ysaye Quartet, France), Walter Levin (LaSalla Quartet, USA-Switzerland), Tim Vogler (Vogler Quartet), Radim Sedmidubsky (Skampa Quartet, Czech Republic), Jurgen Kussmaul, Friedemann Rieger (Germany), Vermeer Quartet (USA) - Shmuel Ashkenazi, Richard Young, and Mark Johnson, Prazak Quartet. Participated in concerts and masterclasses with the Fine Arts Quartet (USA) supported by the Antonio Stradivari Foundation. Performed at the exhibition of the unique collection of the best string instruments by Antonio Stradivari, Guarneri del Gesu, Carlo Bergonzi (Italy, Cremona). Was a jury member of the selection round of the 2nd International Competition "Klassik auf der Strasse." From 2003 to 2010, he was a member of the viola quartet "Collegium," which received numerous awards: 1st prize at the International Competition "Klassik auf der Strasse" in Switzerland; finalist of the 30th International Competition "Premio Vittorio Gui" in Italy, Florence; two special prizes at the International Competition for String Quartets in Bordeaux; resident of the International ProQuartet program, scholarship program Odyssey; special prize at the VIII International Competition "Premio Paolo Borciani" in Italy. He also performs as the concertmaster of the viola group in the Kyiv Chamber Orchestra of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine and as an artist of the "Philharmonic de Natione" orchestra (Germany), artist of the Würth Philharmoniker Orchestra (Germany), and concertmaster of the viola group in the Ukrainian Freedom Orchestra.
