From the part-song (partesny) heritage of the Baroque era to the present day, it has been present in the work of almost every Ukrainian composer. The legacy of Borys Liatoshynskyi is no exception. The composer created a broad and diverse body of choral works — from arrangements of folk songs to complex original compositions. This part of his oeuvre is at once unique and distinctive, yet deeply rooted in a continuous tradition shaped by generations of Ukrainian artists.
